The second person killed in a six-vehicle collision and fire on Interstate 80 has been identified.
Forty-three-year-old Ryan T. Hart of Joliet lost his life in last Friday's fiery crash. Earlier this week, WLPO reported Nicole Currier of La Salle had been the other fatality. The pileup froze traffic on the interstate four miles west of Ottawa last Friday morning.
State Police reported that westbound traffic was stopped in a construction zone when a box truck driven by 64-year-old Raymond Ramel of Manhattan, Illinois slammed into the back of one of the vehicles. Currier was the driver of one of the vehicles struck. Hart man was a passenger in another.
