Trees, power lines, signs and semis have all fallen victim to gusty winds.

Law enforcement, electric workers and tow truck drivers have stayed busy with the fallout of a High Wind Warning.  The problems actually started just after midnight Wednesday when a line of storms rolled through Starved Rock Country.  The storm damaged several power poles along Silverspoon Avenue in Granville near the high school.  A wind gust of 63 miles per hour was reported at 1 o’clock Wednesday morning at the airport in Peru.

Later in the morning more and more reports came in about trees being uprooted and power poles bending.  A handful of semis were also tipped over on Interstate 39 between Wenona and Lostant.
