Illinois has just over 1100 new COVID-19 cases and eighteen additional deaths. That word from the Governor's daily COVID-19 update Sunday. Dr. Ngozi Ezike, Director of the State Department of Public Health reported there are now 4500 people with COVID-19 across the Land of Lincoln. Sixty-five individuals have died.
A big concern of the state is that some people are infected and are not aware of that. Worse, they are passing the virus to vulnerable persons in housing developments, the workplace and food industry. IDPH is working with such sites to implement procedures to contain the coronavirus.
