La Salle County Deputies arrested 30-year-old Godfrey Bennett, 25-year-old Shawna Stevenson, and 20-year-old Bobby Richardson.
The three were charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver (Heroin) – Class 1 felony. A further investigation into the handgun is being conducted.
A Chicago man sits in the La Salle County Jail on two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance – heroin and cocaine – Class-1 felonies.
Twenty-three-year-old Leeonta Patton, also known as “Smoke,” had been under investigation by the TRIDENT task force for several months. Agents say that, several times since the summer, Patton had delivered them more than a gram of heroin and more than a gram of crack cocaine. La Salle Police stopped his car during the noon hour Thursday as he was driving on Chartres Street near Garfield.
