The Illinois Department of Public Health this afternoon (Tuesday) announced more than 14 hundred (1,466) new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 20 new confirmed deaths statewide.
That brings the state to a total of more than 264 thousand (264,210) cases and over 83 hundred (8,332) deaths since the start of the pandemic.
The state’s current test-positivity rate is 3.6%.
As of last night, more than 15 hundred (1,584) people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 373 patients were in intensive care and 144 were on ventilators.
