A few animals perished in a Princeton pet store fire Saturday evening. A motorist noticed flames at 628 Main and called firemen around 7:40pm. Chief Chuck Woolley said flames shattered glass in the Tank's pet store's northeast corner – three doors down from Heartland Bank.

The two alarm blaze was knocked down quickly; but, a fire marshall  will determine a cause. Portions of the ceiling laid across the floor afterwards and bits of glass on the sidewalk outside. The future of the store is not known.
