Shots fired on Ottawa’s Main Street last night (Wednesday) resulted in felony charges for an Ottawa man.
Just before 9 Wednesday evening, Ottawa Police Patrol Units were dispatched to the 900 block of East Main Street for a report of gunshots being fired. Upon arrival, multiple witnesses reported a male subject had fired a handgun several times in the front yard of a residence.
Officers found William C. Johnson IV, 22, of Ottawa, at the residence along with a firearm and additional evidence.
Johnson was charged with Possession of a Firearm with a Revoked FOID card, a Class 3 Felony, and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, a Class 4 felony. He was transported to the La Salle County Jail where his bond amount was set at $40,000 (10 percent to apply).
