As the story goes, just before Halloween 1938, Orson Welles prompted panic in the streets with a radio dramatization of “War of the Worlds.” But is that story of chaos the truth, or is it just legend? You can find out exactly 82 years later with a virtual program hosted by the La Salle Public Library.

Lecturer Laura Keyes presents on historic topics, and she'll be hosting an online presentation on the 1938 War of the Worlds broadcast on Tuesday, October 27th, at 6.
