It's quiet for police these days, but there's still the occasional mishap with several tickets. Around 2am Friday, a Peru man's car left the road southwest of Troy Grove and struck a utility pole. 19-year old Kyle Quintana fled the scene, but a deputy found him later driving a second vehicle.
Quintana was arrested for two counts of a stolen vehicle, speeding 98 in a 55, two counts of no valid license and 5 more tickets. He also had a Bureau County warrant with his name on it. He was given a notice to appear.
