Much of California is choking in the smoke from wildfires. Somewhere on a front line is Peru firefighter Moose Duncan. Moose, or Alex, is the son of Peru Deputy Fire Chief Jim Duncan. The younger Duncan is a Peru and Spring Valley firefighter. But, he’s in California thanks to his job with a Libertyville Company that sends help to anywhere there’s a wildfire.
According to dad, young Moose Duncan is south of Sacramento. He’s been in California for two weeks and will likely stay for another week. Yeah, Dad admits to being a bit nervous because Moose’s job site has no cell service. He calls maybe every four days. Moose also has a brother, Max, who is a Texas firefighter. He has a sister, Bird, who works here locally.
