As with other medical facilities in Starved Rock Country, OSF hospitals in Ottawa and Mendota have taken measures in response to the spreading coronavirus.
The medical centers have placed restrictions on visits and visitors. Only one guest may come to the hospitals with patients, and the visitors should be at least 18 years old. Each hospitalized patient is limited to one visitor. Exceptions will be made in end-of-life situations. The hospitals ask that you not visit if you’re feeling under the weather, especially if you’ve had flu-like symptoms in the past week.
OSF facilities in Ottawa, Streator and Mendota also have rescheduled all classes, support groups and events through the end of the month.
