White Sox

Tony LaRussa first came to the White Sox as the youngest manager in baseball in 1979. Today the White Sox made LaRussa the oldest manager in baseball. In announcing his hiring, the Sox confirmed what had been a fast-spreading rumor – that the Hall-of-Fame manager will be returning to where his major-league managing career started.

LaRussa is the third-winningest manager in baseball history, a three-time World Series Champion, and a four-time winner of the Manager of the Year Award.
