An Oglesby man is off to prison on a charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Heroin.

Thirty-four-year-old Daniel Miceli pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after he was caught red-handed in the parking lot of the Spring Valley Casey's. Miceli looked to be under the influence as he sat in the passenger side of a vehicle with a syringe by his hand and heroin next to him. He admitted the heroin was his.

First Assistant State's Attorney Thomas Briddick prosecuted the case in Bureau County Court.
