Illinois American Water will be doing annual maintenance in the Streator area starting Monday. Whenever possible, crews will flush hydrants between 10pm and 6am. But, some flushing may occur between 8am and 3pm. No interruption in water service will occur.

A 2014 lawsuit filed against a Peru chemical manufacturer has been resolved. Attorney General Kwame Raoul announced Friday a consent order with Flint Hills Resources of Peru. It requires the company to address hazardous chemical releases and permit violations at the Peru facility.
