The fear of COVID-19 is forcing Walmart to tighten shopping rules for customers and associates. Executive Vice President Dacona Smith said starting Saturday, it will allow inside only five customers per 1000 square feet at a given time. Shoppers will line up at a single door – likely the grocery entrance. Associates will count the number of customers allowed in at one time. When the store reaches capacity, entrance will be limited to a “1 out 1 in” basis.
One way movement through aisles will be instituted in a number of stores next week. Associates and signs will remind you of social distancing inside and while waiting outside.
