NASCAR driver Kyle Larson has been suspended indefinitely for saying a racial slur during a virtual race.
The league and Larson’s team both suspended him for the slur said during a Sunday iRacing event. NASCAR will require Larson to undergo sensitivity training before he’s allowed to race again.
Larson has since apologized on Twitter and Instagram saying, “Last night I made a mistake and said the word that should never, ever be said. There is no excuse for that. I wasn't raised that way. It just an awful thing to say and I feel very sorry for my family, my friends, my partners, the NASCAR community, and especially the African-American community.”
