The identity of a man hit and killed by a train in Marseilles has been revealed.
Investigators say 48-year-old Patrick Haff stepped in front of an oncoming CSX train early Monday morning. The homeless man was hit on a Main Street crossing in downtown Marseilles. The train was said to be going 40 miles per hour when hitting Haff. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision closed down the Main Street crossing for an extended period of time.
