The manager of the beloved 1984 Chicago Cubs playoff team has died.
Jim Frey passed away Sunday at the age of 88. He led the Cubs to a division title in 1984 as they got to one win away from a World Series appearance. Frey managed the Cubs from 1984 through the beginning of the 1986 season. He was later hired by the Cubs to be their general manager.
