Illinois Valley Community College is enlisting new thermal temperature monitors in the battle against Covid-19.

The contactless, 8-inch terminals are 99.9 percent accurate in less than one second. Everyone who enters the college is required to use the monitors. They’ll also have to wear a facemask, and social distancing is in place at the school.

Registration for classes is currently underway, with the IVCC’s fall semester scheduled to start next Friday (8/14).
