Hacked servers were on the agenda at Monday night’s Illinois Valley Community College board meeting.
The college was the victim of a cyber-attack on April 24.
Following closed session, the board approved a master services agreement with Rehmann Technology Solutions, the firm helping IVCC restore its servers.
School President Jerry Cororan praised students and employees for their response to the crisis. He also expressed pride in the school’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and noted that, given the current unemployment situation, IVCC excels at workforce training, and the school, staff and students have the opportunity to, as he says, “turn a negative into a positive.”
