Illinois is entering another week of mandated precautions designed to minimize the spread of COVID-19.
This afternoon, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported that nearly 1300 people have tested positive for the virus and 12 Illinoisans now have died as a result of it. Two people in LaSalle County and one in Livingston County have tested positive. No cases are reported so far in Bureau, Putnam, Marshall or Grundy counties.
Nationwide, nearly 33,000people in the U.S. have tested positive for the virus, and 400 have died from it.
