About 100 feet of green grass separated two groups in north Mendota Saturday.  Their political differences put them even further apart. Sixty people joined organizer Kyle Clark along Route 251 to wave signs and flags in support of the police and President Trump.  Classic Hits 103-9 WLPO asked Clark how he would sway minorities and women to the President’s side?: 

Nearby,  Anti-Trump organizer Eli Avila, a Mendota High School senior,  said small town minorities have a voice, too:

 Avila said his group isn’t with Black Lives Matter, but does support them.  Devin Wade, a freshman at Western Illinois also was helping Avila
