It doesn’t matter how old you are, if it’s suspected you broke the law, you could end up behind bars. Perhaps the two oldest inmates in the La Salle County Jail have been booked in the last two days.
Tuesday afternoon 86-year-old Everett Taylor of Ottawa was jailed on charges of aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery using a hammer. The alleged crimes happened in Ottawa on July 30th. He needs $3,500 to get out of jail. Officers say the female victim is a family or household member.
Late Tuesday night in a separate case, 78-year-old Barbara Budach-Stone of Ottawa was taken into custody for violating an order of protection. This comes as she’s already facing previous charges of violating an order of protection and phone harassment. Budach-Stone needs to come up with $2,000 to post bond.
