The defense has rested in the trial to determine whether 52-year-old Kenneth Cusick murdered his wife. Earlier today, forensic pathologist Dr. Shaku Teas testified that she started evaluating the Tracy Cusick death in 2017. She claims Cusick had addiction issues and attempted suicide back in 1987. Her opinion is an attempt to strengthen the defense’s case that Tracy Cusick overdosed in 2006 instead of being drowned in a toilet by her husband Ken.
The doctor went on to say any facial or upper-body injuries to Tracy happened post-mortem. This goes against the prosecutions argument that she suffered injuries in a struggle before death with her husband.
Final arguments will begin Friday morning and the jury is expected to get its instructions and start deliberating by the afternoon.
