Putnam County is one of 24 counties on the state’s latest Covid-19 warning list.
Putnam County’s warning level status was triggered by an adjusted rate of 209 new cases per 100 thousand people over the week of September 13th-19th, as well as a test-positivity rate of 12.1 percent.
The state reports that 116 Covid-19 tests were performed on Putnam County residents during the week of September 13th through the 19th.
Putnam County reported two new coronavirus infections today (Friday) – a woman in her 40s and a man in his 70s. There have been 58 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the county since the start of the pandemic.
La Salle County
Today (Friday) was another day with more Covid-19 recoveries than new cases in La Salle County, but new infections were on the rise.
The La Salle County Health Department this afternoon (Friday) reported 21 new Covid-19 cases and 42 recoveries.
The latest numbers bring the county to a total of 1,686 infections and 1,132 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.
Today’s (Friday’s) new cases ranged from a girl in her teens to four people in their 80s.
The Bureau County Health Department today (Friday) has reported 17 new cases of Covid-19.
The new cases range from a boy and girl in their teens to a woman in her 80s.
Bureau County has had 638 confirmed Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) this afternoon (Friday) reported more than 25 hundred (2,514) new confirmed COVID-19 cases across the state and 25 new confirmed deaths.
The latest numbers bring the state to a total of more than 283 thousand (283,885) cases, and over 85 hundred (8,563) deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Testing has been increasing, with nearly 70 thousand (69,793) specimens reported in the last 24 hours. The statewide test-positivity rate is currently at 3.6%.
As of last night, more than 16 hundred (1,637) people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 371 patients were in intensive care units and 124 were on ventilators.
