Bureau County is one of 24 Illinois counties on the state’s latest Covid-19 warning list released today (Friday).
The county’s warning-level status was triggered by an adjusted rate of 127 new coronavirus cases per 100 thousand people as well as a test positivity rate of 9.8 percent. That’s over the state’s target of 8 percent or less.
The county’s last update Thursday reported 22 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the preceding 24 hours. The new cases ranged from three children under the age of 13 to a man in his 70s.
