A fire thought to be put out on La Salle's Third Street somehow got going again.
Firefighters were back at the house turned apartment complex at around midnight Sunday night. It took two hours to extinguish flames across the entire second floor. The flames were in the attic and took out the roof. La Salle Fire Chief Andy Bacidore says all utilities had been turned off and a state fire marshall will visit today to find a cause of the fire.
After the first fire broke out around 7 Sunday morning, the owner had all the occupants moved to other properties. Nobody was injured.
While crews fought the blaze, Third Street/Route 6 was blocked off to traffic at the intersection with Joliet Street/Route 351.
