As he continues to recover from being hit by a grain truck, 7-year-old Caleb Clausen of Walnut had a night to remember on Friday. Caleb and his family were guests of the minor league baseball team the Quad City River Bandits. He was able to watch the game from a suite, ride a ferris wheel, watch fireworks and run the bases while getting hi-fives from players and a standing ovation from the fans.
After several months in the hospital and continued therapy, Clausen will start school this week. Since he missed most of last year, he will stay in 1st grade according to an update on the “Prayers for Caleb” Facebook page.
