A man who drove his car into a Tonica house Friday night is facing charges and suffering from hypothermia. State Police have not identified the man, but Tonica Fire Department's Rick Turri says his car hit the front of a house on Route 251, in the 200 block of South First street around 11pm. Allegedly, the driver was trying to elude police and fled on foot after the crash.
Two hours later, he was found near the Tonica exit suffering from exposure. He was taken to the Tonica Fire Department and then to Illinois Valley Community Hospital. State Police have not confirmed anything and have not released any information.
