Mendota Fire Station

A rural Mendota resident fell from a roof Thursday afternoon, but was unhurt. Mendota Fire Chief Dennis Rutishauser said EMTs were called to a farm on Route 251, about 12:45pm, about a mile and a half north of Route 52.

Rutishauser did not identify the man, but said he was on top of a small cattle shelter. The man apparently slipped and fell ten feet to the ground. A woman trying to reach him, slipped while climbing a fence and bumped her head. Injuries appeared minimal, says Rutishauser, but both were checked out at OSF St. Paul's.
