Not all the bells and whistles of the new Waltham Elementary School are ready.
A message went out to parents Wednesday evening saying the first day of school is being pushed back from next Wednesday to Monday, August 26th. The reason is the school still does not have phone or internet access through AT&T. Superintendent Kristi Eager says about AT&T “they have been working diligently to get our district set up but it seems to be taking longer than expected.” Without phone or internet Waltham is left with no working security system, camera system, bells, or phones.
The school’s “Meet the Teacher Night/Supply Drop-off is still happening Monday afternoon.
