A grand jury believes there is enough evidence to pursue a felony charge against a Peru man accused of leaving a threatening voicemail with Senator Sue Rezin’s office.
Thirty-four-year-old Steven Tutko was indicted Tuesday for felony disorderly conduct. Staff came into work last Monday morning at Senator Rezin’s office and allegedly heard a voicemail left by Tutko that threatened violence towards an unspecified school. There was no threat aimed at the senator specifically.
Tutko needs $10,000 to get out of jail on his felony charge of threat to a school. He’s due back in court Thursday for an arraignment.
