The manhunt is over for a man who police considered to be armed and dangerous.
Thirty-one-year-old Robert Barnes and his alleged partner in crime 24-year-old Nykki Hill were arrested Sunday in La Fayette, which is south of Kewanee. Officers were looking for the pair from Kewanee ever since a high speed chase over the weekend in Bureau County.
Barnes is the main focus of police who think he may have stolen a vehicle in Bureau County, motorcycles in both Henry and Stark County and gotten his hands on guns and trailers that weren’t his. Officers say a stolen truck that they found where Barnes and Hill were arrested had several stolen guns inside of it.
Both Barnes and Hill are being held in the Stark County Jail. Officers credit the public in helping find the pair after information quickly spread on social media.
