Nobody was hurt after a fire broke out at Marquis Energy in Hennepin.
The initial call about an industrial fire on multiple levels at the ethanol plant went out around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. Fire departments from across the Illinois Valley responded. The issue was in the west part of the plant. Flames weren’t visible from the main plant entrance where deputies blocked off traffic.
Firefighters began leaving the plant about four hours after the initial 9-1-1 call went out.
