If you’ve been following the story of a man found dead in the Illinois River, his name has been released.
The La Salle County Coroner’s Office says it was 53-year-old David Gallina of Ottawa found Saturday evening between a couple of barges west of Route 351 near La Salle. A tugboat operator from Kentucky found the body.
An autopsy was done Monday. The coroner’s office hasn’t released an official cause of death saying only further information will be released when it becomes available.
