Did you happen to see dozens of motorcycles rumble through the Illinois Valley Tuesday morning?
They were veterans on their way to Washington D.C. for the annual Rolling Thunder rally for Memorial Day weekend. The men and women are riding as part of a demonstration to bring more accountability for POWs and MIAs that they say are being left behind.
Riders stopped off in Marseilles for a ceremony at the Middle East Conflicts Wall Memorial. They plan to arrive Friday night in D.C. for a blessing of the bikes at the national cathedral and then a candle light vigil at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
