La Salle Mayor Jeff Grove

The bar which was the scene of a deadly bar fight is still without its liquor license.

La Salle Mayor Jeff Grove says that the owner of 516 on First Street signed an agreement to waive the right to a hearing which allows the liquor license suspension to go beyond seven days.  While acting as liquor commissioner, Grove temporarily suspended the bar’s license after an attack on November 10th inside of the bar that led to the death of 28-year-old Nicholas Puyear of Peru.

Services for Puyear were held this past Saturday.
