Hy-Vee’s corporate office is reporting a data breach at some of its stores.
The company says it’s detected unusual activity at payment processing systems at some fuel pumps, drive-through coffee shops and restaurants. Those units are on different systems from the checkout lanes, pharmacies, wine-and-spirits departments and other point-of-purchase areas in Hy-Vee stores. The company has not announced the locations of the breaches.
The company says it’s been working with federal law-enforcement agencies, payment-card networks, and leading cybersecurity firms to address the matter.
Hy-Vee also urges you to monitor your payment-card statements for any unauthorized activity, and, if you find it, contact the financial institution that issued your card.
