Not guilty is the plea to murder by 67-year-old Clifford Andersen of Standard.
After an investigation that lasted more than a year, Andersen has been indicted and arraigned for murder and concealing the body of his 62-year-old sister-in-law Deb Dewey of Ladd. Putnam County States Attorney Christina Judd-Mennie says additional evidence came forward to strengthen their case enough to charge Andersen with murder. She wouldn’t say what evidence other than saying some of it involves DNA results.
With the murder charge, Andersen’s bond amount has doubled to $1.5 million. He’s due back in court in January for a pretrial motion hearing dealing with statements he allegedly made to his wife while searching for Dewey.
